The increased focus on our carbon footprint and its impact on the environment has led to people changing the way they think about and use fuel. The contract wood chipping service at G W Plant Hire offers you the opportunity to create your own biomass fuel using timber you have on-site, or we can supply and deliver high quality woodchip to you which you can use as fuel. 

Our stock of biomass fuel comprises virgin hardwood woodchip in sizes G30 & G50, all of which have been naturally dried for a minimum of 9 months. We also offer recycled woodchip that comprises white wood and pallet wood which is a mix of both softwood and hardwood.  

We mainly produce bio fuels for use in commercial environments, warehouses and for agricultural purposes using our specialist chippers and shredders. All wood chipping, shredding and recycling takes place on site and the resulting fuel is stored in the barn once chipped. 

The moisture content of our biomass fuel is kept below 30% and a report is provided as standard which details its weight, fuel type and moisture content. Biomass fuel is delivered using our nine tonne, eight wheel tippers and we also have walking floor trailers for articulated loads.
