Why Choose a Villa Holiday

Why Choose a Villa Holiday

There are so many different types of holidays out there now, that there can sometimes just be far too many to choose from, which can make holiday planning really frustrating.

You've decided on the destination – That's usually the hardest part! Now, to decide what type of holiday you want; whether it's a peaceful and secluded getaway after the past 12 months of a busy, working lifestyle, or an active, sightseeing, fun-filled couple of weeks you're looking. Either way, the best way to spend your holiday is by renting out a villa – for so many reasons, but we will share just a few of those benefits with you today.

Think about it, when you've been on holidays before, what have been your biggest pet peeves? The noise from a busy, fully booked hotel? Maybe it's the frustrations of having to practically live out of a suitcase for 2 weeks because of the lack of space in your apartment, not having all of the necessary facilities to cook meals when you don't want to eat out, not being able to get a spot around the pool. The list could go on and on.

Although these things may not be enough to ruin your holiday, what if you could abate all of these little annoyances and have everything all from one holiday?

The following are just a few of the benefits of booking your next holiday in a villa instead:

First of all is the facilities & amenities...

When you spend your holiday in a villa, you are much more likely to have more facilities available to you such as full kitchen facilities; oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge/freezer... everything you could need! This gives you the freedom to cook your own meals and eat in or around the pool rather than having to eat out every evening.

Say goodbye to having to get everyone ready just to go down to the hotel restaurant for breakfast, in a villa, you can have a relaxed morning eating breakfast with the family around the pool, whilst the kids have a morning splash in the pool.

Some villas will have a washing machine, a safe to keep your valuables in, TV with cable/satellite and DVD player. Basically, most things you would have at home, you will usually find in a villa to help you feel as comfortable as possible.

Villas are basically a holiday home, so instead of potentially having to share bedrooms or sleep on sofa beds, in a villa you will usually have a living space where you can relax of an evening after a long day of exploring the area, a kitchen / dining space where you can easily cook and enjoy meals around the table with your family and friends, separate bedrooms which will include all you need for a comfortable nights sleep, and sometimes multiple bathrooms / en-suites, making your whole stay a lot more pleasant, convenient and enjoyable. You'll feel like you're right at home, but with the added wealth of amazing weather and scenery.

Secondly, peace, quiet, and seclusion...

If the amenities are not enough to make you want to book a villa holiday, then what about the benefit of spending your time in much more private and secluded accommodation?

Most villas generally have their own pool, although some may share with a neighbouring villa. Imagine being able to stroll outside into the beautiful weather and be able to relax around your very own pool, without having to fight for a sun lounger, and be able to soak up the sun with a book, in the peace and quiet – sounds wonderful, right?

One of the best things about beautiful, hot weather, is being able to dine, Al Fresco, which we don't get much of an opportunity to do in the UK. If you were to take your holiday in a private villa, you could be taking advantage of having your very own poolside BBQ, which is perfect if you've had a day of hiking the mountains of Lanzarote and would rather relax than have to get dressed up and go out to a restaurant.

If you book the right location, this doesn't mean that you have to be completely out of it to stay in a villa. The beauty of it is that you get the peaceful surroundings, within driving or even walking distance of the busier towns and activities, so you can have the best of both worlds!

Family Friendly

Staying in a busy hotel can possibly sometimes be quite worrying for families with young children. As much as you want the children to run around and have fun, you probably can't help but worry and want to keep a constant eye on them which can be difficult when places are quite crowded. Whereas, if you were to stay in a villa, you have the added benefit of being able to let the children play in a much safer environment, where they have much more freedom to roam around and play in the pool.

If this has helped to make up your mind, and you can't wait to book your self-catering villa holiday, then why not get in touch and we're sure you'll never look back to hotels again!
