The business was founded in 1992 by husband and wife, Neil and Kath Harvey, with a view to providing families in and around Leyland with an independent funeral director with local values and in 2012 daughter Laura joined the team.
Prior to founding the business, Neil worked at a local funeral home, gaining valuable experience within the trade. Both Neil and Kath grew up in Leyland and have proudly served many families throughout the area. You can read our full story here.
As a family-run business, we pride ourselves on offering a personal service. From your initial call to the funeral service and beyond, you will be looked after by the same member of our team. This person will be your first point of contact throughout.
At Neil and Kath Harvey Funerals, we appreciate that the pressure to arrange a funeral can create undue stress during an already difficult time. We help families with every aspect of the process, from choosing a coffin and burial arrangements, to obituaries, floral tributes and memorial masonry. We have a dedicated fleet of hearses and limousines for processions. Motorcycle or horse-led processions can also be arranged.

We can liaise with local clergy as required, ensuring all the necessary arrangements are made ahead of the day of the service. We can also arrange humanist funerals. No matter what your requirements, it's our aim to provide a thoughtful, respectful service and tribute in memory your loved one.
