Electric Underfloor Heating

There may be numerous reasons why you have decided to invest in underfloor heating, and they are likely to include the comfort of a warm floor underfoot and the efficiency of this type of heating system.

When will you be installing your system?

Will you be retrofitting your underfloor heating system or are you involved in the development of a new build property? If you are renovating an existing property, electric underfloor heating is the best solution because it will not drastically raise the floor height. Being involved in a new build gives you more flexibility to adapt for the system beforehand.

Where will your system be fitted?

If you are mid-way through a renovation and have chosen to use a low-profile system under an uninsulated floor, an electric system is ideal.

In the event that you cannot change the heat source from a boiler, you can take simple steps to ensure that your electric underfloor heating system is able to generate enough heat to warm the room both efficiently and effectively. Adding floor insulation will reduce the amount of heat lost.

New kitchen or bathroom

If you are planning to replace your kitchen or bathroom, now is a good time to think about installing underfloor heating. If you’ve ever hopped, skipped or jumped across an ice cold hard floor, you will certainly appreciate underfloor heating and its ability to take the chill from tiles. We generally install our systems beneath tiles or laminate, though, in some cases, electric underfloor heating can go under carpet.

What is your budget?

If you like the thought of a warm floor underfoot in your bathroom, the kitchen, or even the hallway, electric underfloor heating is a fantastic investment. However, your own budget should always be the driving force behind whatever decision you make.
