The JCB Agri Loadall 516 40 is the smallest AGRI Loadall in the range; it’s a skid steer, wheeled loading shovel and forklift all in one. A versatile machine, this loadall features a revolutionary offset single-spine chassis; the cab sits low in the chassis, keeping the machine’s height down without compromising on the operator’s comfort.

Engine/Hydraulics

This loadall features a T3-compliant fuel-efficient JCB Diesel by Kohler engine which delivers 130Nm of torque at just 1600rpm and increased power when loading or re-handling. You can expect a reliable performance with minimum downtime. The one-piece fully welded chassis and large boom overlap maximises strength and minimises weight.

The hydraulic hoses are intelligently routed through the boom so that they are effectively protected against damage. Vari-speed transmission allows the operator to pre-set a specific forward speed independently of the 516-40 AGRI’s engine speed, which is ideal for operating motorised hydraulic attachments.

Productivity

The core strength of this machine lies under the boom with a chassis which wraps around the cab, meaning the 516-40 AGRI Loadall cab can be mounted lower than normal. With a compact wheelbase, the machine is also able to operate tight steering lock angles and the versatile hydrostatic transmission delivers permanent 4 wheel steering with a compact turning circle.

Operator Enclosure

The operator’s cab is available with air conditioning, enabling working conditions to be tailored to any climate.  This large, spacious enclosure is easily accessible through a wide door, the upper portion of which can be folded back to allow increased airflow. The operator has a choice of seating positions and benefits from tinted glass which reflects 30% of the sun’s energy.

The cab is also ROPS (Rollover Protection System) and FOPS (Falling Objects Protection System) certified for added peace of mind.

Performance

The JCB Agri Loadall 516 40 delivers:

  • maximum engine power 47hp
  • maximum lift capacity of 1600kg
  • maximum lift height of 4m

A large attachments range is also available. The machine itself benefits from 4-wheel drive which provides ultimate traction in soft, muddy areas as well as fast and easy directional control. The machine can lift 1600kg up to the full height of 4m. There’s also a 1000kg lift capacity at 2m forward reach, making it easy and safe to load or unload trailers.

Manoeuvrability

The cab is mounted lower in the chassis which ensures improved manoeuvrability and the machine’s compact size makes it ideal for working in tight spaces.

Controls

This loadall’s single-lever controls are quick and easy to use, offering the operator precise control. The control switches themselves are ergonomically laid-out and backlit for easy recognition; this also ensures good visibility at night.

Strength

Subjected to a stringent testing programme, this loadall has undergone prolonged high stress loading of the chassis, boom and other key components as well as repeated transmission use over thousands of cycles

Safety

When the cab is mounted lower in the chassis, it offers easier and safer cab access for the operator who also benefits from great visibility, aided by the large roof screen and optional front and rear work lights.

Safe to operate, this loadall is equipped with an Adaptive Load Control system which prevents overturning during heavy load handling. A reversing alarm is a standard feature, as are the hose burst check valves which protect the rams from collapse due to hose failure. What’s more forward/reverse movement is disabled if the operator is not seated.

Servicing

A JCB Agri Loadall 516 40 is easy to maintain as all daily check points are situated at ground level and accessible filters facilitate fast, easy servicing. Fuelling can be undertaken at ground level. The wear pads use a dry lubricant system which prolongs degradation and, therefore, service life.
