The JCB 7mtr telehandler makes the best of the very latest technology and an advanced design which complies fully with stability test EN 1459 Annex B. As the owner of this telehandler you would benefit from reduced noise, high torque and power output, total reliability and minimal maintenance.

Specifications

To give you an idea, the machine is 2.23m wide, 2.49m high and weighs 7060kg. With a maximum lift capacity of 3100kg, a lift capacity to full height of 2400kg and a lift capacity at full reach of 1250kg, you can really put this telehandler to the test. The machine can lift to heights of 7.0m and can reach 0.48m at maximum lift height. The maximum reach of the telehandler with and without a 1 tonne load is as far as 3.7m and the machine boasts a placing height of 6.3m.

JCB powershift transmission

All JCB 7mtr telehandlers are fitted with JCB powershift transmission complete with torque converter, bevel box and a 4 speed powershift gearbox, all within one very solid mounted unit. The combined steering column-mounted switch integrates directional control with four forward and four reverse powershift gears.

With a maximum travel speed of 18mph, or 20mph when 2/4WD select is specified, the machine can travel across site at pace in permanent 4 wheel drive. Both the front and rear drive axles are JCB epicyclic hub reduction drive/steer axles with Max-Trac torque proportioning differentials.

Hydraulic service and parking brakes

This machine has both service brakes and a parking brake. The self-adjusting, multi-disc service brakes on the front axle are activated hydraulically and the parking brake is a hand-operated disc brake.

Cab and boom

Constructed using high tensile steel, the low maintenance boom features hard wearing pads. The JCB Q-fit self-levelling carriage accepts pallet forks and a variety of attachments and features lever operated pin locking. Fitted as standard is one boom end auxiliary hydraulic service. Safety check valves are also installed on the carriage tilt, telescopic and boom lift rams.

Standard issue features include full road lighting, a reversing light, directional indicators and hazard warning lights. A reverse alarm is also installed.

The cab itself offers a quiet, comfortable and safe ride and conforms to ROPS ISO 3471 and FOPS ISO 3449. With tinted glass all round, a laminated roof screen and roof bars, operators can work in comfort and safety, increasing productivity. When working in adverse conditions, the JCB 7mtr telehandler benefits from rear and roof screen wash/wiper and a heater complete with screen demister and an opening rear window.

On-board safety

Keeping the machine in top condition is simple with the informative audio-visual warning system for coolant temperature, engine oil pressure, air cleaner, battery charge, transmission oil temperature and pressure and water in fuel. Drive safely with the hourmeter, road speed indicator, engine temperature, fuel gauge, clock and inclinometer all available at a glance.

Power steering

Equipped with hydrostatic power steering, featuring power track rods on both axles, the telehandler offers three steer modes, all of which are operated from within the cab. The options are:

  • front wheel steer
  • all wheel steer
  • crab steer

Operating and manoeuvring the telehandler is simplified by the mechanical joystick and direct acting hydraulic control levers. What’s more, the adjustable steer column with stalk bar powershift change and forward makes it both a comfortable and smooth ride. The park brake itself is fitted adjacent to the adjustable deluxe seat which places you within comfortable reach of the reverse shuttle, throttle and brake pedal.

Stay in control

The automatic, eye level audio-visual load moment indicator warning system receives a signal from a load sensor on the rear axle. By constantly monitoring the machine’s forward stability, the system keeps the operator in control at all times.
