The 540-200 Loadall telehandler delivers gross power of 74.2kW/100hp, lift capacity of 4000kg and a huge lift height of 20m. Designed to provide maximum productivity, this mighty machine is more than a match for cranes and rotos. What’s more, this single machine can save both time and money by negating the need to hire additional machinery.

The 540-200 Loadall offers fast cycle times, which is due to s electro servo hydraulics and a high-flow 110 l/min hydraulic pump, enabling rapid and industrious handling of loads at height. The flow-sharing hydraulic system proportionally splits flow to different services in order for the boom to be lifted and extended simultaneously.

Investing in this machine will allow you to lift and place 1500kg loads at a maximum height of 20m using the innovative hydraulic regeneration system which improves cycle times and reduces fuel consumption by diverting oil back to the rams while the arm is lowering.

The boom design offers forward reach capability (200kg at 15.9m, 1500kg at 8.9m) which enables the operator to reach across standard building foundations without hassle. Within the 5-piece boom design, the hydraulic ram and chains unite to extend or retract all the sections proportionately in one swift yet smooth movement. The whole system is operated from just one lever.

By enclosing the extension ram, chains, and hoses inside its boom, we are able to increase operator visibility. Fitted as standard is a versatile, double-acting boom. Many different attachments can be powered by the built-in drain line, including winches, pallet forks and such like.

If you’re looking for on-site performance, the 540-200 Loadall offers excellent manoeuvrability and quick travel times on a compact wheelbase. The large steering lock angles facilitate a tight turning circle and you can choose between three steer modes:

  • two wheel steer – high speed on-road travel
  • four-wheel steer – working in tight spaces
  • crab steer - manoeuvring close to walls and buildings

You can work in varied conditions using this telehandler because the sway chassis keeps it level on the most uneven ground and the unique clear view Q-fit fork carriage boosts operator visibility. The side shifting forks facilitate the handling of all manner of loads both quickly and easily whilst the stable work platform maximises load capacity due to the wide spread of the stabiliser legs.

Equipped with 4-speed powershift transmission, the telehandler is perfectly matched to 74kW and 85kW engines which deliver maximum torque at low revs for ultimate productivity. This robust machine is able to handle loads all day long thanks to the new boom which delivers optimum handling and durability without unnecessary bulk.

High tolerances and the accurate location of pins and bushes are delivered by precision machining and finite element analysis and rig testing processes guarantee structural strength and durability whilst delivering a failsafe starting performance down to -20˚C.

Large boom overlaps of up to 1.4m support the strength and durability of the telehandler. By mounting the boom low within the chassis, JCB have created a rigid structure whilst offering uncompromised over-the-shoulder visibility.

Two U-shaped high strength steel pressings create the boom sections and are longitudinally welded together along the neutral axis. The excellent overall structural strength is supported by a boom lift ram which is fortified by keyhole castings.

To maximise strength and minimise weight, the machine possesses a one-piece fully welded chassis and you can close the upper door from outside because of the tough exterior top door slam latch. The rear lights fold up out of the way, protecting them from damage, and the side engine bonnet is recessed which boosts site damage protection. Similarly, the tilt ram is underslung beneath the boom nose, keeping it out of harm’s way. By internally routing boom hoses within a flexible guide, they can be kept under control during both extension and retraction.

A 540-200 Loadall is safe, ergonomically designed and very easy to service. The machine is devised in such a way that it protects both machine and operator, providing day-long comfort and maximum uptime.

A reversing alarm is fitted as standard and all-round visibility is provided by side and rear-view mirrors, ensuring full safety compliance. Hose Burst Check Valves (HBCVs) are fitted to the rams in order to defend against hose failure. Angle position sensors on the boom help to prevent instability; using above a 10˚ boom elevation isolates chassis sway and a boom elevation above 45˚ isolates the stabilisers.

Operators are able to access the cab easily via ergonomically positioned grab handles and two steps. The optional front and rear work lights provide excellent visibility, day or night and JCB Adaptive Load Control is hydraulically operated to safeguard the longitudinal stability of the machine.

Equipped with a 3-speed heater system and optional air conditioning, comfort and productivity are ensured by the telehandler. The backlit switches are easily visible in daylight or darkness and, regardless of conditions, the single lever servo control and proportional auxiliary provides quick, easy, precise control. With a steering column which can be tilted, the machine maximises comfort by adhering to the operator’s needs. The column includes directional control as well as four forward and four reverse powershift gears, permitting a maximum speed of 29kmph.

Telescopic adjustment is optional.

The standard issue tinted cab glass reflects 30% of sunlight, blocking glare, and the easily-adjustable boom chain can be manipulated from one ground-level location with no need for specialist tools or panel removal. Furthermore, the easy-access diesel tank can be refilled from ground level and is fitted with an integral pre-filter in the neck which strains dirty fuel. With easy access to the battery, there is no need for specialist tools as the operator can open a lockable cover using just the ignition key.

Filters are centrally located, facilitating fast, easy servicing of the engine oil, hydraulic oil and fuel, permitting general daily checks to be undertaken at ground level. By adding dry lubricant to the wear pads, service interval can be increased to 500hrs compared with the average of just 250 hours.

Livelink

Livelink is a pioneering software system enabling the remote management of JCB machines online, by email or mobile phone. Machine alerts and history are contained and secured in a central hub. Idle time monitoring and machine fuel consumption data enables fleet managers to monitor and reduce fuel usage, saving money and improving productivity. What’s more, locational information helps to improve efficiency whilst possibly reducing insurance costs.

Care

Accurate hours monitoring data and service alerts facilitate planned maintenance with real time data designed to assist fleet management teams whilst also making available critical machine alerts and maintenance history records.

Safety

Real-time geofencing alerts provided by the software notify you when the machine exceeds pre-determined zones whilst real-time curfew alerts inform relevant personnel of unauthorised usage. Keep tabs on your machine with real-time location information and advanced ECU matching which pairs Livelink with the ECU or immobiliser.

Brakes

Servo-assisted, hydraulically-activated, oil-immersed, self-adjusting multi-disc type service brakes are located on the front and rear axle. The hand operated parking brake can be found on the output of the gearbox.

Electrics

The machine is fully equipped with full road lighting, a reversing light, directional indicators and hazard warning lights.
